I always find it's good to break up the articles with good images so as not to loose the readers attention. Perhaps it would be good to put a list together of royalty free stock images galleries. The one I use is :

Great advice and suggestion. http://www.istockphoto.com/index.php is one I like
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
istockphoto has always been a great resource for me too! They images are cheap, and you can pretty much find anything you are looking for there.

I can help you find houses for sale in Houston and also write at this blog dedicated to real estate technology for agents. I originally created this Houston Real Estate site and switched to REW - awesome decision.
I'm an iStock fan now. Simple and cheap, but I've used Comstock.com in the past too.
Both iStock and sxc are very good. I also occasionally use CCs on Flickr and morguefile.com.

I know it's not feasible for everyone, and it's a major deviation from this thread's topic, but I wanna throw this in:
Start carrying a little digital camera around with you. You pass a good view of your region at least once a day, guaranteed. Start stopping once in a while and shooting off a few pictures.
Photos don't have to be beautiful to be useful on your site; they just need to be taken!

Personally, I have been an iStock customer for quite a while. They have a great selection...and the cost is reasonable.
Just a word of warning to those who might be inclined to copy and paste the artwork and property of others...
We did have one guy in our office try to "get around" one of the photo company's and use it on his site...the company's name rhymes with BettyImages (hehe) and that is a GREAT way to end up with a huge bill..
Please do not make the mistake of stealing other's art or intellectual property. IMO --It's bad ju-ju and it can cost you big time.
Best;

Also www.crestock.com is good..an image costs ~ $5
With istockphoto there are some issues if you want to get exclusivity rights for some image..exclusivity is discussed / contracted solely with the author of the photo..I had one case where the author asked $20K for exclusivity rights for a photo that was nothing special..
