    Default Advanced Access and Google

Unfortunately I don't come here as much as would like but thought I would drop in today to see what was being said about Advanced Access and Google. In the past few days quite a few top ranking AA sites have been severely penalized. Is there a thread about this that I did not see?

I have seen a couple of the best Atlanta AA sites drop. But, I would give it a week and see what happens.

    Ryan,

The offending sites have been told that they must remove all agent to agent links. Once that is done they can make a reinclusion request. Note: A reinclusion request normally applies to sites that are gone from the index but in this case it is the form to be used when they have complied.

Seems strange: For sure, I have actually had a few people call me about it, but not much on the forums (We don't have many AA users)

Btw good to see ya jay

Anyways back to the matter at hand - was it a consultant that told AA to do this, or was it from Google herself?

Also, do you have any idea if it is still fallout from them having the same include on all of their "premium marketing clients" ? - I thought they got rid of that after Greg told them to following the Yahoo ban.

http://www.suburbanhousehunters.com/ just checked on Ken's site and it seemed fine, but he certainly has a squeaky clean site as AA sites go - no link farms there.

The only one I have really noticed is thinklouise.com. That is the site that Matt(I'm not sure his whole name) runs. It has been one of the best sites in Atlanta for some time. I'm not sure what happened, but, I'm sure he will get it figured out.

It's my understanding that Google told them, but it might have come through an intermediary.

I knew a couple of months that Google was going to be looking at real estate sites, in particular those with agent to agent links. Their position has changed considerably within the past couple of years since Matt Cutts told me and others "he" saw nothing wrong with these links.

It's my guess that it will have a snowball effect. When these AA sites get rid of their links then those linking to them will remove theirs and so on and so on. We are talking about some major players in their markets that have been affected. Sites in Las Vegas, San Clemente, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Denver, Tampa, Naples, Fort Myers, Orlando, etc.

Yes, Ken site is clean. He knows what he is doing and it's good to talk to you again MC.

    Ryan,

It's already been figured out and those affected know what they have to do. This has nothing to do with an algo it was a hand job.

My site is AA and I had been fluctuating from from about 43-45 to around 90 for the term "Atlanta Real Estate" for about a year, and just dropped to 370-390. I am hoping it is something temporary but is closing in on two weeks!

I had recently removed 50 mostly empty unique state pages that were in the supplimental index that I never had very many links on...Also put no follows on links to my outside the perimeter neighborhood pages because they are mostly empty also, except for search tools which get a lot of traffic. I never seem to have the time to sell real estate and write content! I am hoping this Google thing will adjust itself. I was getting a good solid lead or two a day before this happened!
