I agree it was well written,

One question, why are the discounters always beating that 6% or 7% drum all the time, For the most part in the northeast those commissions have not been seen for 10 years or more. Average has been hovering around 5% for a while.

The other question kind of relates to the big rebate you offer buyers or sellers, isn't that trying to buy the business directly, in other words, People who Cheep is the ultimate goal are your main customers, If that is the case just like sellers have learned on e-bay, it will be very difficult to build client loyalty, quality referrals and such, especially if another discounter comes in as well then the pick who ever is cheapest, and if cheep does not do it and the house does not sell, next time they likely hire a full service realtor who spends a good amount marketing the house.

I know what I speak on the e-bay cheep customer thing, was a e-bay seller for over 2 years, and that is exactly what I experienced and lots of others who I chatted with said the same thing.

    best of luck,

P.S. I did find a part of your site which did not read well.

Rebate Real Estate also offers the 50% rebate to home sellers and can a list a house in the Indianapolis MLS for as little as 4.5%. The idea is the exact same as it is for the buyers: they offer a 50% commission rebate on their side of the real estate transaction.

Thanks for the advice regarding the copy on the website. I agree it does not read well and I will change it.

While I don't believe this is the place to debate the validity of the "discount brokerage model" I will say this. The reason I beat the 6%-7% drum is because that is exactly what the average commission is here. I also believe your e-bay analogy is flawed. EBay sells goods not a service. If you can provide a rebate combined with great service you can build loyalty, brand recognition, and referrals.

    metaylor9,
did you do the $169 submission or the $350 one? Because I know Logan did the $350 one. Maybe that's why he got more views?

I did the $80 one, sounds like it might be worth it to pay the extra money. Also, does anyone who has used PRweb before know what this means: Lifetime PR Activity: 22302? Thanks.

Yeah, I'm about to do a release and I think I might just go with the $350. I guess like a week ago it was $80 and $200 but now I check and the same releases are $169 and $350

Has anyone tried "openpr.com" yet? I use it occassionally and its free. The site has good page rank and hopefully supplies good link juice.
