A lot of agents in my office have an old site that failed and want nothing to do with it.. they dumped the site and now stick to the good old RE work...
I think you have to mix them all. Direct mail, website and great seo, calls all day, knocking doors, networking, everything....
So far my website is my biggest lead generator -By far!
In fact the major players in my market have paid good $$ and made top sites to match thier offline success! it's just another avenue in which to bring business
Search Homes for Sale in SAN DIEGO and other San Diego Real Estate via the San Diego MLS.

I've only been in real estate since January 2004 and I was starting to think it may have been the wrong decision to get into real estate becase of all the competition. I'm glad that I focused on the web instead of paying loads of money on direct mailing (which I did for a while). I only got one listing from all the mail outs. It paid for the direct mail, but I knew I needed to do something else to get business.
Well, 4 months of focus on web design and SEO has paid off more than I could have imagined. My broker is loving me and seasoned agents at my company are asking how I'm getting all these buyers. LOL
Do you know if there is any advantage to using Dreamweaver over Front Page?

Dreamweaver is more professional if you ask me. However, my trial license expired, so it is back to FrontPage for me till those commissions start coming in!

Frontpage inserts all kinds of annoying MS code that is completely superflous and messy, from a coders perspective its garbage, I suppose it will do until you pick up the full version of DW MX 2004

More leads than no site at all. Some pan out, some don't. Placement is everything, and PCP is usually abused by your competition, (our case anyway) Use this site, learn what you can, broker the work to a youngster or someone you trust and get to work. Your job is buy and sell real estate, not spend every day online. Get a site, promote it! Just remember your #1 job. Perfect example is http://www.jakemarsh.com
He was an it guy too, but now spends his time doing what he should do, and leaves his site to the guys who know what they're doing.
