Hello, and greetings y'all!
I create websites for others. For some of my clients, I am responsible for up to 100% of the content. I have a new site I'm preparing for a client who is a realtor... and apparently a new one at that, because he's not supplying me anything really. But that's okay - that's my job.![]()
I happened to find your website and forum while doing a search on mortgage calculators. I hope you all don't mind if I come on in and lurk from time to time? I need to do some R.E. research for my client, and may have a couple questions now & then. Kayo?
I have been a realtor myself many moons ago (about 25 years), and so do know a little bit, plus I've also purchased and sold a few of my own homes. Some of the terminology today though I'm not quite familiar with, and one particular term specificially: "IDX". What does this mean? I've done a search here, but the system apparently feels it's too short of a word to give me posts for, so I figured I'd just ask. I've also done a Google definition search, and do know it stands for "Internet Data Exchange", but am only guessing it means the data that the computer MLS holds (MLS being the Multiple Listing Service of which most realtors are members of)? Is this the term used for all the listing and data that resides in the MLS?
Thanx!![]()
