I didn't even know that Bob Wilson offered SEO services, is this new?

In terms of myself Jay, you are not quite correct - when we were talking I was explaining the growth that REW has had over the years and how the majority of our business comes from our custom design and IDX (Which happen to be pretty much the most search engine friendly Realtor sites around )

I did not mean to imply that we do not offer SEO services any more, just that it is not as much a part of our business compared to our development.

We do still offer SEO services: In fact we have a full time staff of professional inhouse copywriters (You may have met some of them) - all of whom focus on unique content mindful of conversion and the user, but also keep in mind search engines and the keyword research from the SEO team.

Our writers also write press releases, and articles for distribution across the web: Local sites that accept unique content, ezine articles and many niche specific directories etc. All articles have signatures of the client it was written for, with one way backlinks to their sites.

The SEO team, handles the keyword research, auditing site architecture (Titles, content and architecture tweaks etc) and also handles the blogalytics (Google it, to much to explain here, but it's all about long tails and analyics)

More recently we have started offering blog writing services for some of our clients. Basically our writers have a half hour to an hour phone consult with the client, find out what is new and happening in their market, something great they did, or some controversy going on etc and then write a nicely formatted and succinct blog post on the client's website and or in other social media settings (REW Blogs, active rain etc)

So yes we do offer SEO services Hope that clears things up

Ah so you have gone from offering free SEO advice to selling SEO services? - sorry that was a little cryptic but I think I know what you mean.

Mostly for AA sites. I get a lot of email questions and phone calls, so I tested the market on a small scale. The response was close to 8%. AA's services are primarily limited to link exchanges and providing a list of sites for links.

I take it from an education perspective. For instance, there are several ways to create a url to a page with AA, so dupe content and supplemental pages are quite common. By showing them how to best set up their urls and link architecture, they can solve some of their dupe content issues and increase their longtail. Many of these webmasters have trusted their sites to others, haven't read forums, etc, but now want to be less dependent on others. I try to show them how to do that. The goal is to end up being just a resource down the road.

Of course this has gotten me removed from the AA Christmas Card list, and even had AA removing links to a site that I developed with Jeff Manson, but oh well.

It's not a niche most want to get into, and since I don't do site development per se, I am not really anyone's competition.

Hello again everyone. I just noticed that both of my ranking websites as well as my competitors had their PR lowered by one point. Anyone knows what is happening? I am already out of my wits!
I noticed the other day that half the DC's were showing my main page as a 3 instead of what had been the initial setting of 4 (which I was proud to start out with a four).

Today, they all appear to be showing my main page as a 3, which obviously means I have digressed in the fool's bar. However, my interior pages appear to have all remained the same (for now anyway) which are also at 3.

I also had a few pages that are some what newer that had no fool's bar PR showing, that now have a 3 showing.

To go back to your main concern; I would be more worried about the SERP drop and work to improve that and ignore the PR, which is not a true indicator. I have several pages still that show a zero and come in the SERP's on the first page for certain KW's - my point--- there is no real coalition between the two.

My vote on professional help? I hear this guy is pretty good, shoot him an email and see what he says.
