but is there a good way to figure out what people are actually searching for, other then brain storming every possible search phrase that you can think of that people would use? Is there any way of taking a site that is not yours and looking at how people got there?

That would take all the fun out of it. What? DO you think this web stuff is easy?

With analytics and hittail you can see exactly what people are using for searching to get to your site, but you would never want to make that public.

Yeah, don't give your local competitors any extra info on what you are doing. The Yahoo site explorer is bad enough! lol
