Custom IDX with Mapping capabilities

I have seen posts the cover feeds for neighborhoods, Custom IDX and Mapping. We are looking for all three intergrated into one.

Our group is looking for some expertise in the IDX with Mapping area. For instance when, I zoom into the map(like on http://www.thesarasotamls.com, or shackyack.com) does it:

-go back to the database for another query?
-what database are they using?, mysql, oracle, other?
-does it use a feed, or does it round trip to the database everytime, etc.

We are looking for this type of expertise, whether it is consulting to do the work, or consult with us as part of our consulting team. We are wanting something like shackyack, but be able to add additional content for our clients.

It doesn't go back to the database every time you zoom the maps.
You'd probabily have to ask them what database are they using. That depends on the number of listings you have, how many fields you have for every listings, where you host your maps. If you're interested in which one to use for your maps, that also depends.
Usually the info(longitude, latitude) about listings, for google maps, it's in the database. You use it from there to build the maps. That way it works quicklier, but you also have to see how many listings you'll add on the map. If you add too many your page will load slowly. You can also build it that way to get the longitude and latitude when someone makes a search, but that will take more time to load and you'll probabily get the info on the same home many times. However, in some cases that may be useful, but you'd probabily want to have them in the database.
There was an intersting post about google maps and how good are they for leads. However, google maps are useful and you'll see many urls which have them. If you don't add them, users will probabily look for someone who has them, and in most of the cases they'll find one.

no, i guess i was under the wrong impression. If i read the email right he said some one would email me. He told me he would email the ceo (i guess that is you). I posted some on here three weeks ago and Kyle Told me to email aaron. I was waiting for a return email. I was really wanting to speak to you and pick your brain so i know what i could do and couldnt do.
