I've had great success with posting articles and have been picked up by some major media networks such as WSJ and did additional posting of article on side which increased supplemental links and built more talk, links, and traffic into site.

I would say links from articles in supplemental results can only increase your exposure as a broker or agent and hopefully increase traffic and sales, not sure on link juice though
