Social Media Site Optimization

Hi, I am looking for some input, Say your own website which is very new on a very new domain is going to crawl around in googles sandbox for a while, but you want to get into the game a little so you decide to setup profile page on one of the social media pages with branded content and optimize it to rake for a couple of competitive key words.

From what I have learned doing such should allow your profile to climb the rankings quickly. The questions though are as follow:

1. Which one to choose? Squidoo, ...........

2. How best to optimize it


The goal it to target a few key words.

(I admit this is not my idea, but it does seem like a interesting idea while trying to build my own site up as well).

Hey Jim

From my understanding its pretty much the same as you would do for your normal site, i.e. link building, etc. The only advantage is you dont have the sandbox effect.

Yup Drang3d, that is what I am attempting to take advantage of.

The big thing I am considering though is If I am going to set one up Targeted at one town that I like, which Social networking site should I pick. Which one has the combo of the best domain authority, and enough flexibility to kind of set it up like a web page, Possibly put my IDX link on it (if it ever gets here) which that is what the wolfnet IDX is, a link to them from what I am told. All this with the aim of doing some possible lead generation without having to do PPC.

so here is the question again, which Social networking site would you pick to do this with???

Squidoo has worked well for me. As well as, Vox and Newsvine. Try and see if it works for you.

Ummmm REW Blogs anyone? Not only do we have the authority to rank just as well as Squidoo if not better, we are also 100% real estate related.

Next: At your REW blog, you can add all of your listings
Next: At your REW blog you can create RSS feeds (Which of course you can put on squidoo)
Next: At your REW blog, you can create unlimited posts AND static pages as well as upload images, format content via wysiwyg editors, or html mode, upload images on your pages, create outbound links etc etc

I could go on, but I am kinda hurt we weren't first on your list
