If this is an indication of how many times my competition is clicking on my ads and bouncing immediately I’m sick to my stomach.
My landing pages are community specific and display a list of homes for sale in the community searched, with a New Search & Refine Search button prominently displayed.
According to Google Analytics, out of 188 total keywords searched & clicked, 80 have an Avg. Time of site of 00:00:00. One of the search terms has 17 clicks and an Avg. Time on Site of 00:00:00. Either:
a.) Analytics is totally unreliable
b.) I'm being charged over $300 per month for fraudulent clicks by my competition
Many of the search terms are VERY specific, too.
Example:
Ashburn Homes - Someone searches for "ashburn va homes for sale"
They land at the following page: Ashburn VA Homes
And leave in under 1 second? Even if you take into account possible server issues with my IDX, if people are bouncing due to a slow loading page, they would still wait several seconds before bolting.
Is this an issue I should take up with Google or am I missing something here? Seems like I shouldn't be billed for clicks like this and it's obviously something Google could easily fix by not billing advertisers for any clicks with a time on site of 00:00:00.
