Mike, I used to live in Faiorfield County CT., so I know your territory. Clear Capital offers me $50. every time. I tell them $175-$200 and they never call me back. I have no problem with that because I will not prostitute my services as others do. First Residential (farvv.com) is whom I do all of my business. I get $175--200 every time and I WILL NOT work for less under ANY circumstances. They still sometimes offer me $50 via an automated BPO e-mail. I refuse and then they give me what I want. They pay excellent. You will have a check by the about the 10th of the following month. I hope this helps. DON'T BE A PROSTITUTE!

I am actually dismayed by some of the e-mails - quite frankly - you all seem like snots.

You must live in areas that do not have a lot of agents or competition. I, too, get BPOs from Clear Capital - but if I am lucky enough to snatch them up - they give agents in this area $65 for a regular drive by. In my area - there are about 20 agents that would be more than happy to pick them up for this price. In my area - why would lenders pay $250 for an agent to do a BPO when there are starving appraisers here that would cut their price for the same thing.

I do well on the side doing BPOs for $65/$50. My husband has been able to quit his job and work from home to help - you can easily make $8k a month - to me - I am not stupid for trying to hold out for more - in my area - southern california - I would starve if I held out for that much, because it would never come. I do have some companies that pay $85 and I have received $100 - but that was only once - those of you who are serious and need to make money fast - do the lower priced BPOs - when you get as many as I do - it is worth it.

The main reason I have been doing the BPOs is so I can maybe at some point get into the listing side of the REO market. I am still looking for a way to crack that REO market.
