    Smile content duplicate?

hi.. i have a question regarding on content duplicate. is there any effect on SERPs if am going to copy a particular content or article going to my blog (its just only example) even i recognized the author or from what it came?

what would be the effect? i believe it will treated as supplemental. am i right?

your feedback is highly appreciated by me..thanks in advance

Duplicate content isn't necessarily a penalty - it's more of a filter. IMO, the algo's recognize the dupe content & provide you no benefit for it, but no penalty, either. Now...if you take it a step too far & have nothing but dupe content on your sie, then you have problems. You'll need original content to be recognized by the SERP's.

I sell Houston homes and write at this blog dedicated to Real Estate Technology for agents. I originally created this Houston Real Estate site and switched to REW - awesome decision.

Here's what Google says about duplicate content. I had a similar question when building a real estate feeds aggregator and search engine over the past few days (ahem - shameless self-promotion: www. realestatesiteshub. com) and found the info on Google's blog. I think you will find this useful:

So there is no SEO benefit to syndicating your blogs? The dupe content filter picks them up so you receive no link juice?
