The opposite. There is plenty of SEO benefit to syndicating.

So long as the syndicated post points directly back to the post's original location (i.e., your blog), you're in good shape. You're getting one-way links and (hopefully) keyword-rich anchor text.

From the Google webmaster blog (http://googlewebmastercentral.blogsp...content.html):

"Syndicate carefully: If you syndicate your content on other sites, make sure they include a link back to the original article on each syndicated article. Even with that, note that we'll always show the (unblocked) version we think is most appropriate for users in each given search, which may or may not be the version you'd prefer."

Who are you going to copy? This is a pet peeve with me because so many people have copied my stuff and it is just damned irritating to see people talk cavalierly about "copying" something that isn't their own.

I read that to mean something like this. I take something that I have created and then syndicate it onto something else and it does not get treated as dup content becouse it is me doing it and I am telling them where the original is. Just how I read that but possibly i am wrong.

Besides, posting an article and citing the author isn't unethical.

but some say it could have a possibility that a duplicate content can get a link juice on SEs, if a duplicate had been first to cache or see much relevant to site/blog by the SEs. am not really sure i just open up this topic according to what i read in some other forum. so what would your reaction about this? thanks in advance..
