Starting a new test on MSN

In days gone by getting top placement on MSN was straight forward. Lately we have had less consistent results. Funny thing is that several of our sites have continued to place at the top with little to no additional effort and others have not placed well with the techniques that in the past would move a site back up quickly.

My test will be in two parts. First experiment is with two Point2 sites that I created in the past for testing purposes. www.JunoBeachFloridaUSA.com and www.Juno-Beach-Real-Estate.com They were created when I was testing domain name results vs domains w/o keywords. These two sites both enjoyed top placement in MSN and still have top positions in Yahoo with little customization.

The first test will be with these existing sites and compare some onsite efforts vs external efforts from linking with blogs, directories, other sites that we control...

The second test will be similiar, but will be with two new domains.

I will try and remember to post here as the test progresses... Assuming I get some results with MSN again.

Hi David,

Any news on your MSN test? I was looking at MSN again today and I am more confused than ever. At least with Yahoo and Google you have an idea why a site ranks well.

I have no clue what trouble you guys are having with MSN. I have all top three spots for my major key words. I had them for like 6 months. All i do is post in my blog, if i dont they will fall back a place or two. then i post and the reappear. Also my Blog rss to my front page

Same thing with my denton site, I have all the number 2 spots and one number one. But i dont post in this blog very often. I could take yahoo out of the number one spot real easy
