Another way to increase your exposure and authority, and create some nice inbound one way links as well.

But the link is only helpful if the page that it's on is crawled by google, right? Are those pages all crawled?

Does google see it like a blog?

Squidoo pages are spidered very regularly and rank very well on their own. If you create one, make sure that you make something a consumer will be interested in reading and using. Many people have them ranking on the first page for city real estate...

Yes its well worth your time to build a few lens then blog about them in a few places, then post about them in a couple forums. This will get them spidered and ranking in no time.
