First Page Active Rain for your State

Does it really make any difference being first page for your state in active rain, other then all the blogs you had to post to get there? I mean does it make any difference link juice wise? and if you would, look at my profile, does the way I have my links hurt me, help me, or not make any difference, trying to use AR to promote my REW stuff. http://activerain.com/blogs/jtboyer

Good question - let me know if you get an answer. I am in the top 20 in my county - but getting there for the state is going to be tough! That's a LOT of blogging!

I am #1 in my area, but I would imagine most of the traffic they send me, I send myself through blogs and comments

ok interesting, They make such a big deal out of it over their that you would think it is something that is worth attaining. Ryan indicated to me that I may be dividing things up a bit much with the links I have posted over at active rain in my profile, do you see that as making a difference? I have not noticed it helping at all, but SEO wise does it make any difference to be putting a link or two back at myself in my blog posts at REW?

Someone more qualified could anser better, but, it is essentially internal linking. Might help for spidering and the way webmaster has the blogs set up, newer blog posts rank higher so I suppose you could be adding something that way.

I wasn't saying you have too many blogroll links, only that you should choose to use them carefully...

Thank you for that Ryan, I was just hoping that Morgan or someone would have intimate inside knowledge of the inner workings of Active Rain linking as it relates to how I have set things up -VS- the most productive way of setting it up. And perhaps you and I are talking about something different Ryan, not sure. I took the links section to be where you would link out to any important site to you from your profile.

Also how does it work with individual blogs that you post there and have a link back to yourself in?

I live in Utah so I would only need 50000 points to get to #1 for my state. I would rather not write the articles. I am #1 for my county with no effort.

I'm #1 in my county- of course there are only a few people in my county- and I'm the only active one. I keep posting on AR because the posts themselves show up on Google- and our page position on Google has come up considerably. Besides its fun, and I learn some interesting things. This doesn't answer your OP, sorry.
