    Default Keyword doesn't pop up

Please be patient with a newbie. I have been playing with keyword on my site to see if I can get better rankings on google. Right now I don't even rank.

So, I entered in key words and made some other tweaks and I also entered in "isabelle_0606" as a key word. My thought was that when if I type this keyword in to google and my page pops up than I would know its been cached.

I have been looking at my site now and I think it cached on June 11th 2007 but when I type in the keywords as spelled above nothing comes up. Am I confusing two different things between caching of my site and perhaps google recognizing my keywords?

Again, sorry if the question is dumb. I am real new to this.

Frame it in quotes like this:

    Search for "isabelle_0606"

You're not indexed..yet. Give it time. Have you set up a Google Webmaster's account and set up a sitemap? That's the quickest way to get there.

I beleive I did that some time ago. Is being indexed by google the same thing as being cached?

    Your website is cached http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a

Are you speaking of the meta keywords tag? If so, this is not relevant as Google all but ignores this tag.

it sounds like you're playing around w/ on-site keyword optimization. Is this the case? If so, there's more to it than including specific keywords to gain rankings. If you want to rank for isabelle_0606 - something like that should do the trick.

Also - to check the cache date on your site, type in site:www.bestiowahomes.com into the google search bar. When you see your website, click on the "cached" button under the description.

Yes, I was playing with onsite keywords. I only used isabelle_0606 thinking it would help me track the site. the words I am looking to rank for are "cedar rapids ia real estate" and " cedar rapids homes"

Thanks for all of your help. I am starting to do some blogging and I have some contextual linking that Nick from here set me up with so I will keep on trucking.
