    Aloha folks!
    I would be interested to hear feedback on the site. I am hoping to hire some SEO help soon. I realize we have a ways to go on that front. Feedback on design, usability, etc... would be most appreciated.

    i like the design, straight forward and easy to navigate. it took awhile to load, ( im on 56k ) you should put that js in a external file if you can, its really ugly

    Things to remove from your header:
    <META NAME="author" CONTENT="Cerebral Itch Creative Agency - info@cerebralitch.com">
    <META NAME="revised" CONTENT="03/20/04">
    <META NAME="distribution" CONTENT="Global">
    <META NAME="revisit-after" CONTENT="10 days">
    <META NAME="robots" CONTENT="All">
    <META NAME="rating" CONTENT="General">
    <META NAME="copyright" CONTENT="Maui Real Estate - Premiere Maui Real Estate presented by Billy Jalbert">
    <META NAME="classification" CONTENT="Regional: U.S. States: Hawaii:Islands: Maui: Real Estate">

    Next get that webside story javascript out of there like our young friend suggested, or at least place it at the bottom of the site if you cant get rid of It, I realize its for stats so you may not be able to turf it to an ext file completely

    Also I find your .mv pages in your bottom nav excessivly slow loading, and I am wondering why you opted for this method What the heck is a .mv file ext anyways hmmmm. Are these listings being pulled from an MLS or something? Why the use of an Iframe? searching.mv?what_mls=&what_agent=&what_type=
    residential&what_water=&what_ohana=&what_
    condo=Null&b_price=Null&e_price=Null&what_
    view=Null&what_district=Wailuku&what_tenure=Null&w hat_
    agent=&what_office=Null&b_bed=Null&e_bed=Null&b_ba th=Null&e_bath=
    Null&b_int_area=Null&e_int_area=Null&b_land_area=N ull&e_land_area=
    Null&what_tmk_div=&what_tmk_zon=&what_tmk_plat=&wh at_tmk_parcel=
    I suppose I just answered my own question

    anyways I would change the image link buttons to CSS (Oceanfront listings, condo listings etc) this will get rid of some of the images and make it load faster.

    Thats all stuff that Im harping on from a design/seo perspective but I really do like the look of the site, obviously I cant tell you how to SEO it all in one post, you probably wouldnt hire me then ;-) JK Im heading to bed and I think I should let some more kiddies speak here
    I'll check back later

    Default Thanks

    Mahalo for the feedback guys. I think many of the .mv files may have something to do with our antiquated MLS on Maui. I am following up with my designer tommorow to discuss.

    Pete, the site looks great. Keep hanging around here as there are plenty of SEO types that are glad to help out where they can.

    Plus, if you setup a realestatewebmasters.com maui condo I am sure they will help even more.

    aloha

    Hello,
    Nice looking site. I just found this forum and since I've been into into real estate for the past year on the development side of things, I'll post an idea that I see related to seo.

    By the way, Your site is a first that I have come across that uses Miva Merchant as a home listing search engine.

    I see that you have the web side story code. A quick change that can keep that from getting into the search engine results is to cut the code and paste it in the end of your document between the last </center> tag but before the last </body> tag.

    </CENTER>
    --paste wss code here
    </BODY>
    </HTML>

    In regards to your mention about SEO work. None of the search engines will index miva pages. I'd also do away with using the Iframes to pull those home listings from the http://www.mauiboard2.com site. You'd be better off to add these listings to your site by hand or use a script to display the listings on your site. Personally, I'd never rely on an outside site for anything as if they were to go down or to have problems, Your site would not show any listings and your visitors wouldn't know why..

    Anyway, these are just my thoughts..

    Regards,
    Chris
