Can anyone suggest a good IDX solution for MLSPIN in massachusetts?

I'm getting back into Real Estate and want to try to get a decent website going this time.

If anyone has any feedback I'd appreciate it!

I bet the board has one that they offer to their members that you can iframe in to your site
    Otherwise your options are:
-Get one from a 3rd party vendor that you'll likely need to pay for it by the month.
-Hire a developer to code one custom using the data from MLSPIN. (MLSPIN is HUGE - so you'd likely need a dedicated server to handle that )

    Hope that helps,

Incidentally (And thanks for not self promoting Aaron) REW offers full integration of our custom IDX framework with MLSpin, you can view an example at www.rexre.com which is an REW custom design with complete REW IDX framework install.

    Hi.

I'm now starting on an implementation of MLSPIN, but am running into a brick wall due to the lack of address and coordinate data in the IDX feed. Is there a way to get this data? Does anyone know if the RETS feed provides any additional fields than what is available in the FTP download?

    Thanks.

to the best of my knowledge, based on a call to MLSPIN, they do not offer a RETS feed. That may have changed since last year.

They only offered a data feed of some sort that was horribly expensive.

I believe that the MLSPIN provides access to their MSSQL database.
That you can query on a daily basis.

This feed seemed to have very good data for the mapping - they even provide the geocodes - which is very nice.

To follow up on this, they do provide a RETS feed (RETS/1.0) which includes many more fields than the IDX FTP data. Getting it to work is an entirely different story though. I have a working PHP example. If anyone is interested, PM me.
