Yeah, it's excellent for networking without the fluff. I get about 1 job inquiry a week just from LinkedIn. Great for reputation management, too, if you need to get something ranking high for your name:

They used to allow clean links that passed a lot of juice, but (unfortunately) now they use a redirect. I may be a bit at fault for that...
