Thumbs down Re: Agent Image Vs. Advanced Access

STEER CLEAR OF AGENT IMAGE!!!!! This company is a rip-off. They charge huge fees for a mediocre product and poor service. Forget about getting a refund. Their terms of service stipulates they can keep a huge amount of your money without doing any or barely any work for you, and some of it is non-refundable. Their services are out-sourced to the Philippines as their parent company is there too.
If you choose to try to get your money back in small claims be ready to fork out a bunch of money to get your site up elsewhere while in litigation for months or more.
I paid about $4400 for a semi-custom site with SEO and 1 year of web hosting. When I asked for a refund at the beginning of the site development they said they would be keeping $1350 for the web work and $400 for the web hosting (non-refundable), and I would have to try to get my refund from another company they outsourced my SEO work to.
BTW: They will spin the story in their favor as if the reason for the delays and issues is your fault after paying thousands for the service.

$79.99 per month is extremely high for monthly fees given so many others are charging less than half that price.
You might want to check out some competitors. One reason why some pay more up front is so they do not have to fork out so much on the back end.

Agent Image is neglectful at best. The company regularly seems to engage in constructive and actual fraud on a systematic basis.
Their operations and procedures seem to violate many CA laws.

The SEO company referred by other posters is also owned by their CEO. He would be considered a criminal in most places in the world.

Stay clear of The Design People and Agent Image. Seek legal counsel and contact others with negative experiences. They exist in bountiful numbers.

Action must be taken! The CEO hides behind the Philippine Curtain.

For those unaware, this company is in the Philippines, not El Segundo, CA.

It has been learned many The Design People and AGENT IMAGE customers are asked to remove negative reviews in order to get a refund.
Conversely, existing customers are encouraged to write good reviews. A question has been posed to a few of them as to what has been offered in exchange for a positive review. Yelp and others have removed several positive postings as they appear disingenuous, unguent, and smarmy.

I've been with Agent Image long enough to not matter at all. I don't recommend the template thing. Agent Image has set themselves a TENURE plan with me and I'm sure thousands of others like me. I'm stuck stuck stuck with them. Alll that money and all that work and know Cheryl@AgentImage.com will not even reply to my emails. They had some kind of hacking of sorts end of last year and my site along with many others I ck often on are down often. They will not move me from one server to another without charging me an arm and a leg. The will not credit me for the many many many times my site has been down. It was down when I paid them $2000 to do Google Ads. So all the money to get the traffic to the site drowned in their failure to keep my site up and running. I'm sad and frustrated. I really want out and just can't leave. They come up with solutions that still keep me tethered and tenured to them. I just don'e know how right that is... anyone else out there in the same dilema?

My recommendation to you is cut your losses. Get a new host provider, transfer your website to another provider. Hire a webmaster to re-instate what has already been created and get it to work correctly. Send the notification to Agent Image in writing that you want to end your web host plan at the end of one year, if it has not passed already. If it has, then ask to cancel immediately (in writing).

Make sure you get all the files that are needed from Agent Image. They will send you only a partial file. Ask your new webmaster what files will be needed to transfer your site.

The sooner you cut all ties with that company, the better. I cannot stress this enough! Trying to get your money's worth out of them is killing your business.

Unfortunately, we had the worst experience with Agent Image. They were overdue in finishing the website by 2+ months. They do not return phone calls. We have been trying to get someone to call us back for a month!
