    Default Newb Question: No Follow

How do you tell if a page has no follow for links on it?

Are there multiple ways to tell easily if its a website wide thing - or if its just specific links?

I understand WHY you may want a "no follow" (i.e. want to link to something, but don't wanting it counting for spiders, etc).

I just don't know how you easily tell if someone has no follow set up or not on a particular link, or website.

    Thanks.

I think there is a firefox plug-in that will highlight no-follow links for you, but I cannot remember what it is offhand. Otherwise, you can just view the page source and look at which ever specific anchors you want.

    So, just:
    right click, view source

    CTRL-F
    nofollow

    and see what shows up?

What if follow, and nofollow don't show up? does it automatically follow, or automatically nofollow?

Or is there an easier/better way for an IE person?

Firefox is really the way to go - just use IE when a site is not compatible (like our stupid Tempo MLS), or to double check that your site looks and works ok on that browser.

Thanks for the input, I'll look into Firefox then.

Just for my own curiousity though:
If you view source: what if follow, and nofollow don't show up? does it automatically follow, or automatically nofollow?

The links will either look like this,
    <a href="http://www....
and it "counts" with the search engines

    Or it looks like this,
    <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www....
and it is a working link, but it does not get counted as a vote by the search engines.
