Default Help. I Can't find bad (case sensitive) links on my site

I took the epro course and they told me to use some capital letters in my URLs. It looks good and it helps me with my spelling but now I find out that URLs are case sensitive on some servers.

Google analytics is showing me links that are dead end because of this case sensitive issue.

My problem is I can not find these links on my site. Anybody have any ideas how I can locate these links without having to read the code on every page? I use dreamweaver.

Yes, Dreamweaver have a find and replace function, just make sure you download the entire site, and turn on write permissions for any files that are not enabled. Then just do a find in replace in source, and select "entire local site"

Incidentally, if that is the kind of advice the Epro course is giving, I would ask for a refund.

You can use the dreamweaver links sitewide command to scan the entire site and get the report of all links and paths that don’t lead to a file. To use this command you need to have your site defined as a local site (saved on your hard drive and managed through dreamweaver).
    The shortcut:
    1- Open dreamweaver
2- If the “file panel” at bottom-right side of your screen is not open yet, just press F8
3- Choose the folder which contains your entire site
4- Press Crtl+F8 (This command will do all the steps for you which are: open the results panel – Link checker – search for broken links sitewide)
Dreamweaver will show all the broken links at the bottom of you screen, located inside the “link checker panel” if there is no broken links, the panel will return blank.

You can also check links just on specific pages of your site from the Link Checker panel:
    1. Choose Window then Results to open the Results panel and click the Link checker tab. The Link Checker panel opens.
    2. Use the Files panel to select the site you wish to check
    3. In the Files panel, select the files you'd like to check.
    4. Click the green arrow icon in the Link Checker panel. From the menu that appears, choose Check Links for Selected Files/Folders in Site. ( Alternatively, you can right-click (Control-click) the selected files, and then choose Check Links Selected Files/Folders from the contextual menu.
Either way, Dreamweaver scans the pages and opens the Link Checker panel)

I appreciate all the help but the problem I have is town pages that have an upper case first letter in the folder name (URL) and google analytics is showing some lower case links to those pages as broken.

Dreamweaver isn't case sensitive regarding URLs so it doesn't see them as broken.

I will try what Morgan said.

    Thanks again.

oops! my bad. Then the find and replace would be the best way for you to find the urls with the upper case.
