I have gotten a few scams from craigslist. They generally involve over paying for the rent with a fake check or money order and then asking for you to send them a check for the difference.

Back when I was first starting out I did like 3-5 bpo's a day. At 50 bucks a pop that is decent income. It also helped me to learn current house prices and how to give good comps.

If you have a strong referral base from your past clients, web site visitors, etc., you won't suffer much in the slow times! Believe me -- referrals rule!
