Free chat on the website

Hey gang,
I have a Point2 website and would like to put Live Chat, so visitors can chat with me online. All the components I was looking for, are not free.

Is there a good FREE chat component that you know of that I can put on my site?

I was trying to access meebo's site, but it's down. I'm looking for something that has a notification alert.

If someone initiates a chat, I want to be immediately notified.

Hmm Meebo does kind of operate like that, you have a browser window open which shows you the people on your site at that particular time in a contact sidebar. When someone messages you there is a sound alert and a chat box pops up. You can also initiate chat with a visitor. I use it regularly on my blog.

I have meebo on my site to (though I'm not the person that is on the meebo back end).

There are a few ways to handle meebo. One way is to use speakers, it makes an IM noise for it. Also if you bring the buddy list out of the main window (harder to explain then it really is), IM's pop up as a new window for you.
