    Default Lead Coordinator?

    Hey guys -

I'm moving towards hiring a lead coordinator to qualify & distribute leads. I wondered if anyone here uses a lead coordinator, and what your experiences are.

I'm curious about the pay, scope of work, and how well it's worked out for you.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Eric,

I have had two lead coordinators this year, and it has not worked so great. I know other teams and brokerages use full time coordinators and make it work, but I haven't found the right combination yet. Both of mine were gone after 3 months each. I know we lost potential clients when things were not handled properly... I am not sure what the best structure is for that type of position.

I have an office manager that takes all calls and gets then to our mortgage officer. I pay her 1600 a month.

We have considering this for quite awhile at our company and the agents always seem excited, but it seems like a daunting task to find the right person for the job. It also seems like the type of job that would require a percentage of the commission in order to make it work properly, but then how much is fair? 10%?

From my previous discussions with other brokers (including Jim), it seems like it's tough to transition the lead to a buyer's agent if they have developed a rapport with the initial contact person.
