Well my last post got ripped to shreds last time - all it was was a recommendation to a website!

Well heres another one thats causing a storm in the financial districts of New York....

    internetmasterpiece.com

Im a fan of this one but then again i am a fan of dualearth.com who made the same site - and was slated by this forum!

    Have fun!

    Mikey,
The reason your first post (And likely this post) got ripped apart, is because the only posts you have here are self promotional, attempting to plug 2 sites by the same person (Which makes it look very suspicious) - we do not allow self promotion here, and seeing as you have not introduced yourself, or answered the question in the previous thread your started regarding your association with these websites, users are going to think you are here just to self promote or spam links to these websites (Which is ineffective anyway as that have no follows on them)

Perhaps you will be taken seriously if you attempt to engage the community, stop by the introductions forum and let us know who you are, what you do, and maybe explain your passion for social networking.

You have to admit, 2 posts, both promoting the same companies website, no response when users reply to your threads really makes it look pretty self promotional and spammy.

Just to clear a few things up.I would like to introduce myself.

I may have come across as a spammer or something along them lines due to my posts. I apologise for this.

Ive been in the internet industry for 7 years now and have been active in the financial side of quite a few well known sites. My company is based in New York however i work from the UK. The company I work for deals with "word of mouth" recommendations for up and coming websites and especially global potential or social networking sites.

I have to admit that the posts I have put up here are not at all untrue, but were meant to come across as an impartial person - which is what i am really. Call it market research - apologies.

I do have a genuine interest in these issues (as my job in investment depends on it) and i am fascinated with the world of the web for business potential - IMO, its the best and most lucrative business to be invoved in, however is the toughest to crack. Its fair to say that most people who make a website would like to make a living from it (more so now than ever before.)

Regarding the 2 sites i have mentioned in previous posts internetmasterpiece.com and dualearth.com i have no personal involvement with these however yes i do know the creators - from brief consultations with my partners.

Its probably best I dont mention these or any other sites from now on!

Im more than happy to be part of this community.

    Thanks

If you want to get along in this forum post your links so that they are not live clickable links, like this: internetmasterpiece dot com. Then if someone is interested in looking at it they can fix it in their own browser bar. If you want to post a link to your own website post it only in your signature, which you can set up in the User CP tab in the upper left hand corner of the page.

See I am going to have to call bullshit here:

Your first post was trying to appear impartial (Which you have admitted to) when in fact you are not impartial, you work for a company that is hired (Thus biased) to spread the word about new sites. Whether you actually think the sites you are promoting are cool or not, when you come to a forum and post as if you are not associated monetarily with the project, you are lying and attempting to deceive the forum members - that is not cool at all. What you should have done is read the rules, then you would have realized that shameless self promotion of any type is unacceptable at Real Estate Webmasters forums, and moved on - but instead you constructed a post that was meant to deceive members and we are not so dumb.

Your account will now be banned, and next time you are on someone else's website, be honest about what you are doing, and you will be met with a lot warmer reception, I guarantee it.

Ive just been introduced to a new social networking website by a colleague of mine who is looking closely at it for investment...

No its not Facebook, MySpace, or even Twitter.....!

Its called www. dualearth. com which uses Google Maps as a platform for Social Networking, Photo and Video Sharing, blogs etc.

Looks pretty cool to me and a bit different from the usual MySpace and Facebook as you can find out about the world as well as people. You can navigate users profiles straight from the google map (awesome!) - people can also customise their own map ie backpackers can show off where they have been.

Not sure if its part of Google, or whether the site has permission to use the maps. Either way its one of the most useful ways of using google maps ive seen around for a while.

Not registered yet but my friend reckons its going to be this years next big internet thing! Looks to me like it needs developing a bit.....definitly worth a look though

If my pal in New York is interested in investing, id say it might be a winner!!

Check it out.... www. dualearth. com
