Default Active Rain Banned From Google

Need some feedback on this article before I send it over to AR for posting, right now it's on my REW Blog http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...rey/2151/show/

It's a little shorter than I wanted it, but my fingers have had enough for tonight, feel free to comment in the blog

You have me laughing now. With how some folks focused on Squiddoo, which is not a site I ever really followed -- I didn't realize when I first clicked over that it your Active Rain was an "imaginary" headline.

At SMX, there was a session about the "do's and don'ts" of social network marketing and my opinion was that every real estate agent would have benefited greatly from that particular seminar. It addresses some of the things in your article.

I met the guys who run Active Rain and liked them, but I tend not to comment about their product.

Nice article. While I don't think it will have any impact whatsoever on the people abusing the system, hopefully it will catch the attention of the powers that be at AR, and they can start taking steps to prevent a "squidoo" from happening.

As far as length - I think its fine. Volume isn't necessary a reflection of quality. And if you are able to convey your concerns/thoughts in a concise manner, don't sweat it.

I glad to see you jumping on my band wagon, I was the first to report this guy. He is in my area. That is just plain crazy. I also reported it to Google also.

Good article and of course, sound advice. It will be interesting to see how the AR community responds.

As normal, yo make some good points. It will be interesting in how ActiveRain replies.

Unfortunatly, some will abuse a good resource if you let them. Fortunatly, most will do what is right.

I like this sentence off his page:
Bill Inman is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable real estate agents in the nation.
    That's amazing. I mean.. wow.

On that same note, I just wanted to point out that I am the nation's leading man when it comes to doing a triple back flip off a high dive into a glass of water.
If you're not remembered, you never existed.

Allow no more than an average of 1 outbound link per 150 words of content posted.

Implement a no follow algorithm - If a particular user was reported a certain amount of times by other AR members, apply a rel="nofollow" to all outbound links in profiles and posts on their account.
    Great solutions.
