Thread: Bad Listing Photos

  1. Default Bad Listing Photos

It never ceases to amaze me how unprofessional some real estate agents can be. One of the areas I run across from time to time is bad listing photos. The following is a perfect example.

This is the main listing photo. Yes, the MAIN photo! You know, the all important photo that grabs the attention of the potential buyer...

Now a few others (all from the same listing). This one is my personal favorite...

Note the full garbage can and various toiletries left out...

I guess this real estate agent's camera didn't have a flash...

Focusing the camera lens is optional...

Lastly, let's include some of the client's laundry (I think that is what is hanging in the window) and clutter in the picture. I guess we can call this the "personal touch"...

Yup, these photos are the complete list of photos from this real estate agent's listing. Ya have to wonder what goes through the mind of some folks!

My favorites are the ones that were shot with a bad phone, and have a native resolution of around 160x120. I see those here all of the time. Another favorite is a $750k house, one bad photo, and no virtual tour.

Those pictures are excellent. Now, aside from the overall lameness of the pictures, even a crappy digital camera can take better pictures than those. What's the deal?

It's good to see that there are morons pretending to be professionals in every industry. You'd be surprised how many people think that because they have a computer and a pirated copy of photoshop or frontpage, they are automatically a graphic designer or web designer. Looks like you guys get your share of it too - a real estate licence doesn't make someone a professional real estate agent

Unfortunately, most of the public can't tell the difference.

    Those are pretty bad!

Does anyone remember that nicely staged, professional looking listing photo that had the dogs going at it in the window!?

Don't you wonder if the owner knows that is how the agent is presenting their property?

I'm not going to compain about Realtors taking bad photos. It's good for my business.

Of course one of the services we provide is high quality inside and outside photos of properties.
