Dubai is meant to be tax free but there are land registrations and transfer of ownership fee`s that have been introduced more recently.

One big allure of Las Vegas is the low taxes, no state income tax, low property taxes, etc.. We've actually had clients that were small business owners where the money they saved on taxes compared to where they used to live paid for the home in Las Vegas.

What are the property taxes like in Dubai?

One important thing that we do is protect our clients assets through LLC's, etc...I'm not going to openly divulge this information via forums but I'm curious about the protection of our clients (very private) information if they were to purchase property in Dubai.

Illinois is terrible.... Nevada is great.

I'm assuming there is a reason why so much money is coming into Dubai....

Chicago is one huge big bureacracy... the taxes are ridiculous for a bloated government for such a great city.

I think the Alderman meetings (whoever they are) are bigger then the United States Congress. It's such as joke!! But.... that's why real estate in Chicago is so cheap for such a big city with so many amenities.
