Any tips or advice for doing well in MSN?

I wouldnt bother too much with MSN I ranked highly with them at 1st and it never sent me much traffic its all about the big G.

Jason, Try adding a blog feed though rss to your main page. When i blog i stay at the top on msn. When i dont i move to number 2 or 3.

Yeah it is hard, I would do a search on google, Like blog feed to index page or something. I had someone from here do it for me long ago. Now my guy in india does it for each site.

By the way, the Cowboys training camp sideline passes were awesome yesterday. I met Roy Williams (sort of - got his autograph), Mickey Spagnola, Babe Laufenberg. Red McCombs and Barry Switzer were there hanging out with Jerry Jones. I got a few other autographs, but Roy Williams is currently my favorite player, so it was very cool.

I used to rank very well on MSN and get more traffic from there than others. Now I think that they are fifth on my list. I need to do some research on this myself and try to bring those numbers up again.

That's our experience over the last couple of years -- across the board for sites with totally disparate subjects including real estate.

For my sites going heavy on the KW density has worked for MSN, however that can mess with your Google optimization. I agree with most here that your time could be best spent on becoming more Google friendly. For my clients I usually set up a small PPC campaign that costs them anything from 4c -20c a click. If set up correctly.

almost the same as google, but you will get ranked quicker. bassically the more links the better.
