    Default new originator,...help!

    Hey Guys,
I am a somewhat new originator in and I am in need of a ABC marketing plan. Any advice for a new guy?
What about links, other forums, books, or just some sound advice?
    Thanks,

My site can get you some free exposure if you register with the directory, and there's also a burgeoning forum specifically for originators. My sig has a link to the directory registration and the forums are here:

Here is a site where you can watch a free online mortgage marketing seminar:
http://LoanOfficer101.net. Yes, I actually do give you a lot of useful advice for free. You will also get to receive my free mortgage marketing newsletter. Read the comments that others have said about my material. If you can't generate business using these tools, you need to re-think your profession!

My advice is to start with FSBOs. They can use you to pre-qualify prospective buyers. You should create a pre-app and a property information sheet with your contact information on it. I have a complete FSBO package in my Loan Officer 101 kit. Watch the free seminar. You will get a lot out of it.
