I have just finished my newest site home-loans-va.com and had a resource directory that was linked from the main URL and cached very quickly. A few days later I had a "bright idea" to organize the links and moved them to a sub directory so now all the links are home-loans-va.com/directory/real estate partners instead of home-loans-va.com/real estate partners. Its taken G forever to cache the pages. Usually G goes through my sites and caches within days. I have never done the sub dir thing before. I have had to put /directory/real estate partners pages linked from my FP of my main site, VML to get them cached. Obviously I can not do all 50 states like that.
My question is did I do it right and does G value the pages in sub cat's any less important and will PR suffer for those pages being in a sub dir? I am more than willing to move them back to where they were for the benefit of my link partners if it needs to happen but I see others that have the same set up and everything on their site seems fine i.e. cache and pr.
Input appreciated.
