    Default Screen Capture

Previously discussed, but there exists another program that is proving really useful.

Consistent with my miserly self, I'm using the free version although this

Select and capture a region on a page

might be worth $15 for the "Pro" version.

Pearl Crescent Page Saver is an extension for Mozilla Firefox that lets you capture images of web pages. These images can be saved in PNG format or (with Firefox 2) in JPEG format. The entire page or just the visible portion may be captured.

Now that is cool! I love how you can capture the entire page. Glad I don't have to worry too much anymore about cropping this/that, and optimizing the image for size before I upload to share.

    Thanks!

This is a cool add-on for Firefox that I use: http://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/
You can do many things like displaying all images on a separate page with their paths regardless if they are done in CSS or HTML. Lots of other options.

I use the free versions of Page Saver and ScreenHunter and that's all I've ever needed in terms of screen capture tools.

Hmm. I just use the 'print screen' key. Guess I'm just old school.
