Default Importance of Word Order in Title

I have heard in some places that the word order in the title makes a difference. I was playing with mine and changed the word order but am unsure if what I did will make a difference or if it is a bad thing to do.

    I changed from:

    City1, City2, City3, City4, Real Estate, Realtor, MLS

    Changed too:

    Real Estate, City1, City2, City3, City4, Realtor, MLS

What do you think does any of this make a difference?

I'd be curious to know as well.

I would assume that it would make at least a little bit of improvement.

I am guessing from the lack of comment on this that most people just do not know. Perhaps Morgan or Kid Disco may find this thread.

What do you think does any of this make a difference?

Your City Real Estate 1 h1
Your City Real Estate 2 h2
Your City Real Estate 3 h2
    Your City MLS mls h2
    Your City Realtor h2

    or to be more specific

Your City, state Abbreviation, Real Estate (probably more effective)

ok i used to do h1 to h6 but heard that its more effective to use h1 and then just h2 ...so im experimenting with only h1 and h2's

but you can do Real Estate, Your city in the body of your paragraph's then bold them

As I understand it, you want a narrower focus on your home page and you are better off creating separate pages with separate titles for city 2 and 3. Like: "City #1 State Real Estate - Homes for Sale in city #1 - MLS search"

You dont want the titles to be the same for each city with the only difference being the city name.

so what you are saying is what I have done is less effective then? I have no way of judging since I seem to be in the sandbox currently sitting at about 108 for my main key words Morristown Real Estate

sorry I meant to say it's better this way

Your City State Abbreviation Real Estate (this way they are search more often in the se than if you did it this way real estate your city)

    than this

Your City, state Abbreviation, Real Estat

    then

    Your City MLS

    Your City Realtor

then you can have something like what your saying

real estate in Your City somewhere in your paragraphs

and yes if you have multiple city, better to have them on seperate pages

if u dont have a blog, start one .. personally i dont believe in that G sandbox ..had 3 new domain/site and they rank in google for competitive kw within weeks ...

Word order in the title does make a difference, but like Terry says, you should also factor in semantics.

If your main keywords are Morristown Real Estate, I think you should probably have that as the first thing in your title.

You have major problems with your meta's.

Do not repeat ANYTHING in the title meta more than once. Don't repeat anything in the meta description more than twice -- even stemmed. Three times is alright in the keywords, but they don't mean anything at all anymore. These are absolute basic facts that have been established for years.

Don't put "real estate" first in any of them unless you want to compete with the NAR for popularity, in which case you lose. Don't use acronyms or abbreviations in any of them EXCEPT, perhaps for state name abbreviations. Never put your personal surname in metas, put them in the content of your pages, that's enough to get you found.

If you had a single page with a meta title of "Morristown New Jersey Property Sales and Real Estate", you'd stand a good chance of gaining the top ten in Google in three months.

If you continue to confuse the SEs (and me) with spammed titles for multiple locations you will go nowhere.
