Bloggers Connect-Was Anyone There?

I just scanned thru the posts and noticed no one mentioned Bloggers Connect.

Was anyone from here there?

I forget who it was, but one of the panelists did give REW a mention. Just wondered if anyone else caught it.

Was trying to get there, but found out to little to late that my passport expired (Reminder renew passport)

They are planning another one in January, this time in New York.

Perhaps I'll have a chance to meet some of you at that Connect.

It was a ton of fun meeting the people who you know thru their blogs. I was hoping to see a face or two from here though.

I'll try to scan thru the program tomorrow and see if I can remember who it was that gave you guys a mention.

I was supposed to hook up with Matt from AR for dinner down there, kind of bummed we didn't get a chance to touch base, but heck he is only down in Washington a few hours away so will get around to it soon I am sure.

NEW YORK IN JANUARY! - I freaking hate New York in January, was down there at SES 2 years ago in the winter and I froze my Canadian igloo off!

Even though it was cold, it was still a good time though

Yeah, no kidding, New York in January is definitely icy, but it will still be fun.

It was great though, all the guys were there, AR, Zillow, most of the blogs I read on a daily basis, and a few new ones I wasn't familiar with.

It was interesting that one of the topics they discussed and that seemed to be repeated was "finding your voice". The cool part is that when you meet people in person, they are the person as you know them online, so "finding your voice" is just something that comes natural the more you write. Unless you're a really good actor I guess.

I was surprised that no one stated this during the discussions. I guess they were talking more about process rather than the natural way a blog will evolve given time.

It was also fun to see the interaction between the generations. You had to be there, but there was definitely some lighthearted teasing going on, Drew is just too funny.

It definitely demonstrated the value of blogging and the importance of social networking online. All of these people were brought together and had become friends and business associates who met thru blogging. Each discussing how it was being used in their own businesses.

Blogging isn't for everyone, but for those that do love it, maybe I'll get a chance to meet you at the next connect. Maybe even you Webmaster

Had drinks with the whole gang, including my good friend Matt Heaton from AR. Matt, Caleb, Johnathan, and Sara: all class acts. See you all in NY!

And Nickie, it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Meeting hundreds who knew me already was a bit overwhelming... perhaps we'll stay longer in NY and have a chance to really visit with everyone.

Thanks! I know what you mean, I hadn't checked out your site for while so just popped in and read the entire tomatoblogs.com - looks like you have some really interesting designs that have launched lately (A see a lot of familiar faces as well)

I didn't try to take on the typepad site yet, I think I will wait until after the baby goes to bed and the wife gets home for that (She is out for some well earned hanging out with some friends time)
