    Default Problems with Google

    Hi All-

Part of the main reason I am here is to find out what is wrong with my site.

My site has been up since March of 2006. So I should be out of the sandbox. It is a template site. But, I have added many pages of original content. I do pay-per-click on Google, Zillow (just ended) and just started back on Yahoo after an 8 month hiatus. I also post links on craigslist. I also have various inbound links (2 local chamber of commerces, message board sigs etc.)

The main key words are Sunnyvale Realtor (#9 on MSN) and Sunnyvale Real Estate (#6 on Yahoo). However, my site does not even come up for either one on Google (I looked for over 50 pages).

My sight does come up if you search Jim Houlihan Real Estate.

If anyone knows why Google is not finding my sight I could use the help.

This should probably be in the site reviews section, im sure someone will move it eventually.

From a quick look at your site, my first thought is uh oh frames. They aren't terrible that i know of, but they aren't good. Often pages in the frames will be so deep that google has a hard time finding them. Also, What is with all the keywords in your page source? Way to many in the title and whats with this block of text :
<p>Sunnyvale Realtor, Sunnyvale Real Estate, Santa Clara County Real Estate, Silicon Valley Real Estate, Campbell Real Estate, Cupertino Real Estate, San Jose Real Estate, Willow Glen Real Estate, Mountain View Real Estate, Los Altos Real Estate, Santa Clara Real Estate, Santa Clara County Realtor, Silicon Valley Realtor, Campbell Realtor, Cupertino Realtor, San Jose Realtor, Willow Glen Realtor, Mountain View Realtor, Los Altos Realtor, Santa Clara Realtor, Santa Clara County Homes, Silicon Valley Homes, Sunnyvale Homes, Campbell Homes, Cupertino Homes, San Jose Homes, Willow Glen Homes, Mountain View Homes, Los Altos Homes, Santa Clara Homes, Santa Clara County Townhouse, Silicon Valley Townhouse, Sunnyvale Townhouse, Campbell Townhouse, Cupertino Townhouse, San Jose Townhouse, Willow Glen Townhouse, Mountain View Townhouse, Los Altos Townhouse, Santa Clara Townhouse, Santa Clara County Condos, Silicon Valley Con......
Its obviously hidden somewhere.....cuz i cant see it on the page. Looks like your site could use some changes to me.

    Hi Jim,

While definitely not an expert, just a quick look... I don't think that you are in the sandbox.

I think that the biggest problem is that your site is a framed site. Search engines don't do too well with framed sites. When you click on Cache Snapshot google shows a blank page.

Maybe others will chime in, but just my observations.

    Thanks

I had a framed site, non-real estate, and it placed very well. The trick is to have good, easy to crawl navigation links from the main frameset page, in the noframes section. Your site doesn't have that, only a link in the noframes section to a sitemap page, where all the links to other pages are in tables. As a result, only two pages of your site are indexed in Google. What you have is a PropertyMinder PPC site, intended to keep you hooked on their PPC programs, and not intended or designed to place well organically.

If you can afford a REW template site, do it. If not, Point2Agent has inexpensive template sites that work well for PPC as well as (eventually, with lots of work on your part) organically. Of course, if you go either of those routes, Propertyminder probably will not manage your PPC stuff. But if you are doing the PPC yourself, no problem.

The non-viewable keyword stuffing is in the noframes section of his frameset page text, which doesn't get displayed unless the user's browser doesn't support frames. The text is not set to a different color or super-small size, so Google would not see it as an attempt to hide the text. Still not a good idea to keyword stuff anywhere on any page, but not really a hidden text problem. Google generally doesn't even attempt to index the content of frameset pages, since G considers all frameset pages to be non-content, structural code. The target pages referenced by frameset pages are what Google looks at, or tries to.

starting to look better, I dont know about your frames though, they still need to go. And you are still over stuffing your keywords. And by the looks of it there are still hidden keywords....big NO!
