Default Please Help me with this Search Engine

    Hello Forum:

Please if anyone has any incite, tell me a few things that need to be done to rank well with Yahoo. I rank well on Google for most search phrases and neighborhoods in my target market, but Yahoo is a pain. It seems to me that they are so URL driven. Does anyone know the secret?

I have a bunch of keyword rich urls and it doesn't seem to help me. Luckily, they don't have enough market share to worry about.

I am indexed in Yahoo! on the first page for several keywords, but I have not idea how I got there.

Sorry, I know that doesn't help!

if you're doing well in google that should be good enough, just layback and keep building links, yahoo takes a while longer rank you.

Being first on Yahoo is no big deal, being first on Google is life changing...don't worry about yahoo, they are becoming less relevant by the day.

Thank you for the feedback, but I still feel that a lot of people use Yahoo. I have submitted a txt site map and that helped some and I have continued to receive backlinks. Now I am on the second page for the search phrases. We all know that second page sucks.

I read an article the other day on Yahoo Optimization and from what the article said, for Yahoo, you need to focus more on on site optimization title, meta tags, h1 tags etc.. I looked at two of your sites and your homepage on two of them looked good. Your titles are short and keyword targeted (assuming you're going for Myrtle Beach Real Estate) and your description includes your keywords immediately - they are a little long though. You may want to touch up the rest of your website pages with titles, descriptions etc.. and continue maintaining for Google - don't oversaturate your site with your keywords. Yahoo does take longer from what I've heard and it sounds like your set on getting top placement so good luck. Maybe just Google or Yahoo search "Yahoo optimization tips".

I think the article was posted by a member of this forum so you'll probably get a link to it soon. If I find it I'll post
