Default Help me rename my site. . . please!

Not long ago, one of the forum's members sent me a private message concerning the name of my site, Realtor Marketing Results. Quoting the NAR rules, which are not made public, it seems that the name violates the Collective membership mark laws. Shortly thereafter, I received an email from the NAR. Evidently, people are liable to confuse me with the National Association of Realtors. :-)

So. I need another name. But, I'm having a hard time.

Real Estate Agent Marketing Results... too long

Agent Marketing Results... I feel like I'm selling spy tools

If you wanted a name to indicate that you were providing services for real estate agents to market themselves, not house marketing plans, what would you think of?

Is there such a thing as a Realty Agent? Realty Agent Marketing, maybe?

If anything comes to mind, I'd appreciate the input.

    Thanks!

SellMoreHomes.com? It's the ultimate "results" we're looking for. Just a thought.

I'm sure I could give you some great ideas for URL's but most of the good names are taken.
I would go to 1and1.com and use their URL search feature to check for available URL's. It wil show you what .com's .net's .org's are available for a specific term or terms.

    Max,

That's a good idea. So good, in fact, that someone already has that name!

But, its a great concept to move toward the result. I think I'll stop trying to replace the word realtor. Realty agent is just too awkward, and real estate agent is too long.

    Thanks for the brainstorming,

    Kathleen

    Kyle,

You're right about the good names! At the rate the net is growing, pretty soon domain names are going to end up being paragraphs rather than key words!

I know what you mean about most of the names are gone. What I do is I add a short number string either before or after the words I wanted. Usually I pick my lucky number like 88. So...sellmorehomes888.com? If you're adopting a search engine strategy with your marketing, it hardly makes any difference for the potential customers because they don't have to type the domain name in. Just click and they're there. This way, however, is a little trickier if your potentials learn about your site through print where they have to type.

You might consider abbreviating it with the first letter of each word.

    Hello All,

Thanks again for the new posts. Right now, I'm leaning toward BuildRealEstateResults.com. I talk to everyone about my website, so the number scheme wouldn't work as well for me, as you noted, Maxxipotamus. (wherever did you get that username? )

When I'm trying to remember a domain name, its easier for me if it makes sense. So, I'm thinking having something longer would stick in people's minds more if it was a phrase? And, once they get there, if they want to come back, they'd probably bookmark the page, so they wouldn't have to type it twice.

I like the building theme because I can tie that into building a good foundation for a RE practice.

    Anybody hate that idea?

    I really like that url.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

That one works. I like it.

P.S.: hippopotamus is my favorite animal. Strange, I know. And my name is Max, and hence, maxxipotamus.
