Default Greetings from the Mile Hi - Denver, Colorado

    Hello everyone,

Just discovered this forum and I am delighted! What a terrific marketing/learning/networking idea. I lift my glass in a toast to the developer...You are Marvelous! Thank you!

I am not new to the real estate business, been around for 20 years (this week). I developed my own website out of desperation in 1997 after moving to a new market area. My learning has been by trial and err(or), but it's been exciting and fun.

Now that I've landed on this forum, I hope to be able to share and learn from those of like minds.

    Default Thanks

I'm always open to exchange links, as long as they are relevant and to good sites!

I see this forum seems to be concerned with PR. I find that interesting. My PR dropped by my positioning is excellent. Since then I have not be concerned with increasing PR, just maintaining positioning....by adding content.

What's your take...do you disagree? Are you getting lots of leads?

    kkraft,
I am not sure when your PR dropped, but I did notice that you only have 30 something links showing in Google. I'm sure you have more than that, however Goole only publishes the ones over a PR4. So I would suggest acquiring more links and try to get some higher PR links as well. This would improve your PR.

I also agree that PR is not everything...There are many more factors that are also important. However, instead of focusing on PR value focus on the benefit of the anchor text in the backlinks.

If you sat back and didn't pursue backlinks and one of your competitors did, I think you would soon be passed.

An example would be my market. In march we re-designed my website and started adding tons of backlinks (over 2000 counted in Google so far). Now we are in the top 10 for many of my keywords and in the top 20 for the most competitive, like Phoenix Real Estate.

So keep working on the backlinks!
