never mind. i found it:
Campaign Summary -> (Select a Campaign) -> Edit Settings -> (You
will see a highlighted tab on the right hand side of the page. Here
you can disselect the "Content Network" option)

Have you had much success with ad words... this is something i've been considering.
ad words works well for us... you can really spend alot though!
@Michael A Crider - Ad words can be a great way to generate leads. However, you need to setup your campaigns properly. Otherwise you can waste a lot of money on bad clicks. If you are interested, I would suggest contacting RonnieG. He really knows Ad words well.

so how does adwords compare to these flat monthly programs various companies offer? ie: one company offered Houston TX Realtor for $120 per month as a sponsored link.
Flat rate programs: Typically only one or two very specific keyword phrases, and generally very expensive ones, depending on the market. $120/mo = maybe 60 to 120 visitors, depending on PPC costs in that market. They sell other keyword phrases to other agents in your market.
AdWords: potentially hundreds of targeted keyword phrases of your own choosing. Visitors and total costs generally about the same, depending on market.
Both: Visitors is NOT the same as leads! Converting visitors to leads is the responsibility of your website lead capture process.
Adwords can be successful only if you get cheap and extremely targeted keywords. If not you will blow your budget. The popular keywords are expensive and so you will need to find "buying" keywords - where the user is ready to take a buying decision, and that way you can minimize your cost and get higher conversions at the same time.
