Default Where to find a new team member?

I'm looking for a new sales agent for my team and don't really know where to start. My office seems to have no one who's interested or the ones who would possibly like to join up I don't have much interest in. Successful agents in town are not likely to want to leave an already good situation for the unknown. Who's this leave me? I'm not an outrageously social person so unlike the bar crowd I don't know every small time Realtor in town.

Where do those of you who are brokers go to recruit?

Just an idea, but maybe you should put out an email that you are looking for a new team member for whatever position and mail it to every agent in your MLS. Make sure you mention that you need help to work your steady lead flow. You should be able to blast an email through your MLS system.

Or maybe if you remember an agent that you have dealt with recently that was really sharp and easy to work with, give them a call and explain your proposal.

I talk to every agent I do a deal with about how they like their current office and why. This helps me learn what I can do to improve my team and also helps me learn about other agents that might be a good fit for the team. I am also not the most outgoing person so this is outside my comfort zone, but it is a great way to help grow your team.
