I would say facebook is the most popular and a lot of businesses are beginning to use them. LinkedIn is also very popular. I would look at that, as well. If you google some good sites they will come up with descriptions of each. I think it is best to get on as many as you can.

It would appear to me that Google+ is almost a must for anyone wanting to be noticed by Google. It must be nice to own the largest search engine and also start your own social media network , that requires you create a Google account. Big brother is not just watching us he knows everything about us and makes us post it.

I use about 10 social networks, but only facebook, and linkedin have a good return.

I have a link to my google+ on my REW home page. This way, my g+ profile picture shows up in the search results which helps my site to stand out.

It’s so interesting to see how the top social networking sites have changed since this was originally posted in 2007. I remember using all 5 that Markz mentions back when they were popular. However, now my top 5 list would probably be Google+, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
