Default Parked Domains & the Sandbox

So I've picked up some domains for future ideas and have them parked currently. My thought is that if I made a little effort to put some unique content on each domain's home page and do a link into them from some of my existing domains, I could start the sandbox timer and then they'd be out by the time I did anything with them.

Any thoughts on this or other ways to take advantage of parked domain names for future development?

I do it all the time - don't be lazy or it does no good - make sure you develop a decent amount of content, and build more than just one or two links and be sure to create a diverse linking portfolio

Aged skeleton sites will do exactly what you want. I have 3 or 4 in the process right now.

    Aaron -

Make sure & listen to Morgan's advice. Don't just throw up an empty site (or a site full of dupe content) and sit on it. You'll need a few pages of unique content & some quality inbound links...that will get the clock ticking. When you do resume your link building efforts, it will still take a little bit of time for the new links to mature before you'll see results.

My favorite way is to slap a WP blog up and ADD content and links to it.

People talk a lot about sandbox this and that, but don't forget that links gain strength with age. Start them now. Put the effort in and you will be glad you did when you have the time or are otherwise ready to take on that site.
