Can I view Saved Searches

I can view favorite listings, but, it would be very helpful to be able to view a registrants saved searches as well so I can tailor a specific email to be of more help to them.

Is that possible?

I'd like to have the ability to do either! :-)

Website users assume I do, and then are surprised when I tell them I don't have access to any of their saved information (outside of what was in their registration form).

Timing is everything in life. I was just coming to forum to ask if I can view "saved favorite listings" for an IDX user! But my question is how? I do not see how to do this from the back end?

To see saved favorties in the cms, you go to mailing list, then across from the name of the prospect it will show a "favorites" columns that shows how many (if any) homes they saved. The number is a link you click that allows you to view the listings.

Now as far as viewing saved searches, that I don't know how to do but would also like to be able to.

In my cms there is a favorites column to the left of the "group" column. You may need to request that it be included in your cms.

I think we greatly need some basic user management features (focused on saved searches and favorites ONLY) and would be interested in any feedback on developing some formal requirements for REW to implement 'system wide'.

I saw your thread, I agree, except with one caveat, seems to me it should be FREE, this seems like a basic functionality!

I paid REW to add the ability to view saved searches and saved favorites via a simple filter that was added. Not free...well worth it for the little it cost.

I believe the new CMS they have been working on is a huge improvement, much more of a lead management system, but it may only be available when integrated into a custom site due to cost. You have the ability to view visits, add notes, assign leads, filter leads different ways, modify leads, etc. Surely an upgrade cost involved as there would be programming to each site as the system is integrated to your specific site and not a stand alone program. Even basic Top Producer is something like $35/month and most web companies have "add in" costs or a "cafe" style menu for various programs above the basic site.

JMO, but I doubt making changes system wide is as simple a task as we would think, or like it to be. Based on the results I get from my REW site, it would be a small investment to have it added. I bought the site to get leads.. and it performs.

In terms of upgrades - because of the flexibility of our system and our willingness to change or modify (Custom tailor) each customers CMS to their specific needs, doing wholesale upgrades is virtually impossible. Thus it takes manual labor (Or as much as you can call programming manual labor) to implement such changes on a specific customers website.

Now we do expect to be paid for this labor, after all we pay our staff to perform it, so no it would never be "free" - that makes no sense. There is something however that I think people overlook - and that is the fact that our R & D is free, I pay hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in wages to programming and design staff to develop products like the CMS, lead management etc, and the hope is in the long run, it will attract more customers like OC who not only don't mind paying the $100-$200 to install them, but also continually order upgrades and services on the fee for service end (Hourly design and programming etc) to help us actually pay for all this R & D

This is not meant to be a complaint, I am very happy with our model and am not whining at all, I am merely trying to put things in perspective.

It is a lot like when IE 7 came out - anyone who ordered a website from us before it's existence all of a sudden realized, hey in this new browser my website doesn't work - and made comments like "One would expect that it would work in IE 7 so shouldn't REW fix it for free" - it's new technology, just like we develop all the time - if people want the newest technology, they have to pay for it. Certainly we could not have pre-emptively coded for IE 7, until it was released we didn't even know what it looked like or how it worked. So customers had a choice - either stick with what they ordered (And were happy with) or pay for an upgrade as technology evolved.
