How to rank well in yahoo?

What are the best factor to get good rank in yahoo? Does Back link importance in yahoo is like google or on page optimization is still the best factor for yahoo.

Yahoo, just like Google, MSN, ASK etc. looks for good quality original content along with relevant links. Each search engine is a little different so if I had to choose one over the others it would be Google handsdown. That is where the majority of the search traffic is.

As 90% of my traffic comes from G the rest are of little importance, I used to think they were but now I dont even bother checking.

I read this article lately. It may shed some light on Yahoo optimization.

We rank well in Yahoo, and I can tell you from personal experience Yahoo isn't worth going after. Concentrate on Google, and let the chips fall where they may with Yahoo and MSN.

I wouldn't go that far, as we do get some leads from Yahoo as well as MSN.

During the now infamous Google penalty months ago, I was thankful for this, as we still go leads from Yahoo and MSN during our little Google break!

yahoo seems to prefer new unrelated sites IMO. that's what i notice in the local yahoo results.

My results on Yahoo can only be explained by the old 'content is king'. I still haven't optimized my site (no titles on pages, etc.), have just a few backlinks, and my site is now #11 on yahoo for city real estate and #2 for city stateabbr real estate just based on the unique relevant content I assume.
