Default I'm back!!...finally, after being dropped with server down.

After my hosts server went offline for 6 days just prior to the Labor Day weekend and my website with it, I lost my most important search phrase: Redding California Real Estate. I had been #4 for quite some time in Google. The great news is this morning after about a month of my Home Page not even being indexed I'M BACK . This morning the cache date of Sept 30 showed up and I'm at #3 for the search.

I had posted previously about it here

An interesting thing happened in the month it was gone: I have a secondary page that had been moved between the second and third pages that went to #12 in the search. A third interior page was shown with it in the #13 postion, indented and next in line(whatever that is called). This morning with the home page back the secondary "Properties page" is sitting at #14 and the third page is no longer showing in the top 100.

Great work and great news. Welcome back. I am finding myself at Number 2 for Myrtle Beach Real Estate and would love to take over the number 1 spot. I can taste it.

Wow. That would have killed me. It sucks that something out of your control can cause you to go down.

Did you resubmit or do anything to let Google know? Or did their crawl just end up bringing you back?

As you can imagine I was very frustrated waiting and waiting. I found Google Webmaster help and the groups portion of that, I posted on the 27th of Sept. A few replies and suggestions from users and then the morning of Oct. 3rd I found my site back in the results and a new cache date. Later in the day a Google employee posted that I had been re crawled on Sept. 30th.

I can't say that the original post on the 27th helped but I can't imagine it hurt either. Her post was a very nice touch I thought. You can see it here. It could have been a natural re-crawl or something else, I guess I'll never know.

Great to hear that you popped back up! Optimize that properties page a little more and you'll see it indented below your #3 listing.
