    Default REW IDX Solutions

What makes the REW IDX system proprietary and special? MLSNI offers both IDX and VOW services for agents/brokers but I don't understand what it is that REW offers to enhance that service?

Do you recommend VOW, IDX or both? VOW looks nice for capturing a more complete buyer profile but requiring that extra information prior to searching may turn off some buyers...

    Thank you for clarifying.

We don't have VOW on our mls, but we do have idx.

Here are my opinions on the matter:

idx looks pretty cheap at least ours does.

When you apply the mls idx to an REW templated or custom site, it detracts from the overall appearance of the site and looks very out of place.

With an REW idx solution the flow is natural and maintains the look and feel of the site uniformally.

You'll get quite a few other opinions as well specially when it comes to registering for searches etc.

    Hope that helps.

    • Access to the raw datafeed allows you to have programmed and display whatever fields you want pulled to show or not show.
    • Integrated into site, not i-Framed.
    • Search pages get indexed. Property listings can get found by MLS #, address and/or however it is programmed.
    • You can program at what point in a search a buyer registers (or not)
    • It brands you, not the broker or agency.
    • You format it how you want it to appear on your site, what additional features, customization, etc. It is unique to you (your site).
    • You can customize with other data you want displayed.
    • You can customize price ranges, tract data, areas, mapping, search fields, etc. It is only up to your imagination what you can do with it.
The list goes on and on.....and, once you have it, you'll never want anything else as you will dominate local long tail property searches.

    David -
It doesn't look like you have a REW site. I am pretty sure custom IDX from REW requires an REW website.

We can frame a custom IDX into someone's existing site, but a client gets the most benefit out of hosting and having an IDX through us. Creating your own search snippets is one of the greatest advantages.

In terms of IDX vs VOW, you have to keep in mind that each MLS might use slightly different nomenclature for its data features. At REW, when we refer to IDX we are talking either about our custom listing search product from a data feed or the actual listing data feed provided by an MLS engaging in Broker Reciprocity. In regards to the former, there are rules in place to govern how we display the listings in the custom searches we provide. VOW is an extension of the IDX product. By developing a relationship with the website viewer, in some cases we are able to give them access to more privileged information that is prohibited for display in the IDX product.

In the case of MLSNI, I believe a VOW gives a significant amount of extra privileges including the ability to show trusted parties Sold listing data.

More importantly for MLSNI is that their VOW feed provides full access to all listings, whereas the IDX feed only has about 60% of the listings.

With VOW the user MUST verify their email address before they are allowed to search, so not only forced registration is required, but also confirmation of email address.

With IDX, you do not have to have registration at all - to sum it up VOW has more data, and more listings but more rules.

Incidentally, CORE IDX that starts at $2500 USD only applies (As per our pricing sheet) to the IDX in MLSNI - VOW requires extra custom programming and would likely start closer to $3500

Does it include a good contact management data base for the leads? Can you create campaigns and shoot out emails to hundreds at a time or is that more a function of the IDX provider???

Yes - REW IDX ties directly into the lead management portion of our backend, and you can email individual leads, or mass email groups of leads

You can set up specific automated email campaigns depending where they signed up on your site ( ie; IDX, comment form, etc.). You set up what day they go out. So, they can get an immediate email thanking them for visiting your website (day 0), then on day 4 asking if they are finding any homes they like, day 9 another follow up..., day 17 would you like to view any homes, etc. This is something we can't do without as many time we get a response or they call when they are ready to use our services. Once set up, it's on autopilot until the emails run out and we can go to the beach!
If they are undeliverable, you get notified.
