In less than a month my page rank drop from 1,350,000 to 2,300,000, Iīve been blogging, link exchange, and submitting my site to directories, my google position hasnīt moved. Can someone explain and help me. Thanks

Sure, Alexa only tracks visitors with the Alexa toolbar installed so you're getting less visits from that group. I don't know of too many who actually place any value on the Alexa data for exactly that reason and that it's easy to manipulate.

I think he cares more about not moving up in Google. I am not sure about the Alexa thing. Mine veries from month to month and I have been going up in Googlo and others. I was never told that Alexa is only for people with Alexa toolbars. Is that true?

Alexa is very much like the Nielson Rating for TV. It is all based on sampling. It probably benefits the largest sites more to help validate traffic for ad revenue. It does not affect PR, it is nice if you rank.

Alexa has very odd rankings, making me think that manipulation is possible. There is a domain ranked #1 for a lot of local keywords in Alexa, but they are not seen in the top 20 for Google, MSN or Yahoo, yet they have a higher Alexa rating then the top 5 sites in the area.
Is it possible that people install the toolbar and just spam refresh on their link? Or is it only unique IP's that effect ranking?
